CitCom.ai started the first day of 2024 by opening the doors to its testing facilities to businesses across Europe.
The invitation to connect AI innovators with our testing facilities is a major leap forward in fostering innovation and collaboration, offering unparalleled access to state-of-the-art resources for the test and validation of cutting-edge AI technologies.
CitCom.ai's goal is to ensure that European companies have easier access to business development through standardised testing and development facilities (TEFs) in a large number of European countries. This is an essential contribution to the European ambition of providing both safe and innovative use of artificial intelligence in a practical way, thereby closing the gap between regulations such as the AI Act and everyday life.
"This venture is a cornerstone in the development of responsible use of artificial intelligence in Europe without putting unnecessary brakes on innovation. It is crucial that we in Europe play to our strengths and do not fall behind when it comes to the use of artificial intelligence and increased robotisation. CitCom.ai is a shortcut to reaping the benefits for our societal development," says Martin Brynskov, director of Connecting Communities at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU/DTU Compute) and overall project manager for CitCom.ai.
Service catalogue will be presented in Rotterdam
As one of the first activities in 2024, you can experience the first edition of the service catalogue for CitCom.ai TEF in Rotterdam, The Netherlands on 17 January as part of the OASC Conference for smart cities and sustainable communities.
As test facilities and sites are continuously being developed by the many partners, the service catalogue is a dynamic selection and will develop over time. Nevertheless, in Rotterdam, it will be possible to get a more concrete insight into what the CitCom.ai TEF makes available in various countries in Europe.
"The service catalogue will span everything from robot testing in urban areas to access to data testing services, for example through IoT solutions. I think we have a very good starting point, and I am looking forward to presenting the catalogue," says Martin Brynskov.
With this invitation to AI innovators, CitCom.ai aims to create a vibrant network for companies to swiftly find the most relevant local contacts, enabling them to effectively test and develop their AI solutions and ideas. For more information, please contact Joost Haugmark Jensen - johj@di.dk.
