Valencia, a key city in the project's Southern Node, has inaugurated the headquarters of the project in the Spanish city: La Harinera building. This building will become the epicentre of technological innovation in the region and will be closely linked to the València Innovation Capital urban strategy, an ambitious initiative aiming to position Valencia as a reference in technological innovation in the Mediterranean. This strategy promotes public-private collaboration, acting as a catalyst for the city's technological and business ecosystem.
The selection of La Harinera as the project headquarters in Valencia represents a significant step towards advancing technology and improving the quality of life in the city, fostering collaboration among all stakeholders involved in CitCom.AI. This emblematic space will serve as a hub for the development, testing, and validation of artificial intelligence-based solutions.
CitCom.AI, operating in three supernodes in Europe, has the Spanish city of Valencia as the leader of the Southern Node, alongside partner countries such as Germany, Poland, and Italy. The Southern Node focuses on crucial topics such as digital connectivity and smart networks, aiming to strengthen cities' technological infrastructure for a more sustainable and efficient future. In Valencia, the project will focus on addressing issues related to pollution management, greenhouse gas emissions, noise pollution, tourism management, climate neutrality, and efficient waste management.
La Harinera is expected to be visited by the entire European consortium on March 7th, during the first in-person meeting to be held at Las Naves from March 6th to 8th.
The CitCom.ai consortium had right before the meeting in Valencia, visited the “All TEFs Open for Business” event in Berlin on March 4th. The event was a great opportunity to announce the project's engagement with business opportunities, in line with its mission of promoting collaboration and innovation on a global scale.
